Why use an Adviser for Home, Contents and vehicle insurances?

The adviser must act in good faith towards both the client and the insurer. They have a duty to disclose all information pertaining to the client’s claim. The value of an adviser becomes evident at claims time. The adviser’s role is to act on behalf of the client, supporting them through the claims process, with a review of the outcome where the client deems it to be unsatisfactory. An adviser must have a very good understanding of the insurance product (to ensure the client is able to claim for all legitimate losses) as well as the claims process (so they can effectively challenge an insurer’s decision on a claim where necessary).
